You will have the opportunity to visit 4 of the most amazing National Parks in South Africa, namely the Kruger National Park, The Addo Elephant Park, The Tsitsikamma National Park (as part of the Garden Route National Park) and Table Mountain National Park. Your journey will take you along some of the world-renowned places in South Africa.

Kruger National Park, in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Its high density of wild animals includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. That is just Kruger. And we also focus on scenery, mountains and the sea, not just wild animals, as we visit Tsitsikamma- and Table Mountain National Parks. Your tour ends in beautiful Cape Town, with its heritage and must-see attractions.

You will even get the opportunity to travel the infamous Route 62. It is indeed the highlights of South African Parks and mountains of the Garden Route and the special cultural heritage of Cape Town.

THIS 12-DAY/11-NIGHT TOUR STARTS ON A TUESDAY AT O R TAMBO AIRPORT IN JOHANNESBURG AND ENDS ON A SATURDAY IN CAPE TOWN.

Itinerary

TUESDAY DAY 1

We welcome you with open arms and friendly smiles at Johannesburg’s O R Tambo airport. Welcome to South Africa!

We depart immediately (10:00) for the Kruger National Park. Our drive takes us by Dullstroom and Lydenburg, to our game reserve.

Afternoon: Shikwari Game Reserve bush drive

You will have the rest of the day free to relax and get yourself ready for the 11-day adventure coming up

WEDNESDAY DAY 2

NATIONAL PARK 1 – KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at your lodge. The group spend the whole day in the Kruger National Park on safari

THURSDAY DAY 3

Breakfast at your lodge.

Today we explore the scenic Panorama Route. Highlights of your trip include attractions like:

God’s Window, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls, the Pinnacle, Bourke`s Luck Potholes, and

Blyde River Canyon.

FRIDAY DAY 4

Breakfast at your lodge. Today is a traveling day.

Drive to Nelspruit. Fly from Nelspruit to Port Elizabeth. Price of the air-ticket is included in the package.

SATURDAY DAY 5

NATIONAL PARK 2 – ADDO ELEPHANT PARK

Today we spend the whole day on a guided safari in the Addo Elephant Park. It is internationally known for its elephants but is also the home to the largest herds of disease-free Buffalo in South Africa. There are many other varieties of animals. It is one of the only big 7 parks in the world. The park is considered as one of the most scenic parks in South Africa.

The tour starts at Dung Beetle River Lodge. The tour through the Park is in a closed vehicle. Your qualified guide will take you around the 35 thousand hectares of this park, to find as many animals as the guide can.

SUNDAY DAY 6

Breakfast at your lodge.

This morning we have a slow start. You are welcome to explore the area around the Dung Beetle guest house or take a cruise on the Storms River and visit the dunes in the area.

After early lunch we say goodbye and drive to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Tsitsikamma National Park is a multi-dimensional destination with dramatic coastal scenery, reefs, rivers, lush forest and delicate Fynbos. A hiking and water sports paradise, this region forms the top section of the magnificent Garden Route National Park.

MONDAY DAY 7

NATIONAL PARK 3 – TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at your lodge.

Today you can explore all the exciting opportunities to indulge in the beauty of the Tsitsikamma area on your own. With Misty Mountain Reserve as our basis, there are several activities you can choose from: hiking routes (different lengths), quad bike journey in the forest, ziplining, golf and fly-fishing.

This is just a day of relaxing in nature.

TUESDAY DAY 8

Breakfast at your lodge.  Today we take Route 62 back to Cape Town. We stop at the Bloukrans Bridge for bunjee jumping from the highest bridge in the world (214m). Or you can do bridge walking if that sounds more exciting!

Route 62: Starting in one of the world’s great wine regions and ending in the sparse Karoo, Route 62 casts its gentle, captivating atmosphere on all who travel its roads.

In Oudtshoorn we will explore the Cango Caves. At the head of the picturesque Cango Valley, lie the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo – the Cango Caves. Afterwards we visit an Ostriches farm – time permits.

We stop at Ronnie’s Sex shop and taste some of the best South Africa port wine in Calitzdorp.

WEDNESDAY DAY 9

NATIONAL PARK 4 – TABLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at your hotel we leave for Cape Town. On arrival we immediately start our discovering tour of Cape Town.

We visit Table Mountain and take the Cable Car (vernacular) to the top of the mountain and back. You will have at least two hours to breathe in the beautiful views and explore the hiking trails on top of the mountain, plus have lunch.

Next is a stop in the colorful Bo-Kaap (Upper-Cape)

THURSDAY DAY 10

Breakfast at your hotel.

Today the group will explore one of the most beautiful regions in South Africa, namely the Cape Winelands. We will stop in the town of Franschhoek where you will get the opportunity to see the vineyards and visit the wine farms with the Franschhoek Wine Tram. This is truly a very exciting experience!

Our next stop is at the second oldest town in South Africa, Stellenbosch, where we learn more about the history and taste some of the best wines of the region.

Lunch in Stellenbosch.

Supper. You have the evening free. Explore the different restaurants in and around the V&A Waterfront.

FRIDAY DAY 11

PART OF NATIONAL PARK 4 – TABLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL RESERVE

Breakfast at your hotel. We leave the city and drive to Hout Bay and then on to Simon’s Town via Chapman’s Peak Drive, where you will have time to visit the African Jackass Penguins. (Penguin Colony – the Boulders Simon’s Town). You may be interested take a swim in the Ocean!

Lunch   After lunch we visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, which includes beautiful sites such as the Cape Point Light House and the Cape of Good Hope.

SATURDAY DAY 12

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning you are free to explore the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town on you own. There are so many options! Depending on the time of your you flight out of Cape Town, you can visit Robben Island, take the hop on hop off bus for an interesting museum tour of Cape Town, and many more.

Our bus will take the whole group to the airport at 16h00.

You are more than welcome to stay for a few extra days. Please consult us for any extended sight-seeing and tours you want to do.
