South Africa – A Beautiful Mix for 60+
“Africa has her mysteries, and even a wise man cannot understand them. But a wise man respects them” (Miriam Makeba). With the wisdom of the years comes a deeper understanding of the true meaning of travel. We have created a tour for 60+ “wise people” to experience the real South Africa.
Travelers will spend five days in and around Cape Town, and visit the cultural heritage, sightseeing and scenery the Cape has to offer. Discover Table Mountain, explore the most southwestern point of Africa at Cape Point, visit Nelson Mandela’s cell on Robben Island and enjoy the quirky penguins at Simon’s Town. The Cape Winelands offer a special treat of great wine-tastings and food-pairings, interesting architecture and some of the most exquisite nature scenery in the country.
The tour includes a two-day safari at the renowned Mongena Lodge north of Pretoria, where you may get close to the Big 5, as well as a visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg, The Cradle of Humankind and a vibrant sightseeing tour of Soweto. And in the evening around the boma fire, as you look at the stars… you will know “Africa has become part of me!”
